COVID-19 Community Impact

The health department is continuing to make recommendations as we learn more about COVID-19 and it’s impact on our community. As such, the Wood Estates Residents Association will adjust some of our spring plans.

The Open Meeting is moved to April 30th (will update as we get closer). The egg hunt has been postponed. Once guidelines are rolled back we will either pick a new date or plan something different based on timing.

Join WERA online! Your membership helps maintain & cover taxes and insurance at The Point, along with activities and landscaping!  As of now, we will not be holding membership drives until May.

If you visit The Point please sanitize the keypad before and after use. (THE CODES WILL CHANGE APRIL 1 for our 2020 season)

The unofficial Wood Estates Facebook group will be the best place to connect with neighbors, as community comments and posts are more visible than the Official WERA page. Let’s be creative about ways to help our neighbors! As neighbors the best thing we can do is to check-in and support one another especially our elderly and most vulnerable. If you have a need, you can share on Facebook. If you do not have Facebook email us and we can post for you to help connect you. You can also respond to this email if you are willing to help those in need. Fun idea: Invite your neighbor for front yard coffee, one stays by the door and one on the sidewalk. A great way to beat isolation!  (Please do not offer to help if you are sick or in self-quarantine).

We want to thank our neighbors for social distancing! Thank you for staying home! With many neighbors home at this time and people getting outdoors please remember to keep space between each other- cross the street while on a walk to maintain distance. Be mindful that kids are home and will be playing. Reminder that the speed limit is 25 mph and STOP signs are not suggestions.

We hope to be able to gather again soon! Together we can do our part to limit the spread and shorten the impact to our community!
