WERA is headed by volunteer officers and consists of numerous committees, including children’s events, adult social events, welcoming new neighbors, maintaining the Point, landscaping and much more. Volunteering has many benefits, including providing fun experiences and personal fulfillment, opportunities to develop social and even professional connections in the neighborhood, and may even improve your health!

Volunteer opportunities include and are not limited to:

• Children’s and Adult Social events
  • Help:
    • plan events
    • shop for events
    • volunteer at activities (egg hunt, 4th of July parade, summer cookout, hayride, ect)
    • set up/breakdown events
• Membership
  • Help:
    • at a membership drive in the spring
    • welcome new members
    • behind the scenes organizing
• The Point
  • Help:
    • with landscaping
    • organize/support a clean up day
    • empty trash barrels
    • become a point monitor
• Communications
  • Help:
    • post to social media or website announcement section
    • send out communications via email
    • answer emails and forward to appropriate board members as necessary
• Landscaping
  • Help:
    • maintain our neighborhood entrances
    • water plants
