Our neighborhood parade starts at 10am on July 4th at the corner of Apple Blossom and Jack Pine. If you have a child between 5 and 12 years old who would like to lead the parade in the convertible as the Parade Royalty, then make sure to get your nomination in by Monday, July 1st!
We are also still hoping to find a singer, group or instrumentalist to perform the National Anthem at the start of the parade. Send us a message if you’re interested!
If you’re new to the neighborhood and not sure what the parade entails, here’s some info:
- The parade goes around the block. Apple Blossom > Wood Cove > Peach Tree > Jack Pine.
- Kids and adults can decorate their bikes, scooters, wagons, strollers, etc. in Red, White & Blue to ride along in the parade.
- Stick around after for a refreshing treat!
- Can’t bike or walk? Come line the sidewalks and wave at the parade of over 100 kids and families.
Johnson’s Pond fireworks will be returning this year at 9:30 p.m. on July 4th!! You can view them from The Point, but you must make sure to renew your membership for the year as there will be a security guard at the entrance checking the membership list to ensure only Wood Estate’s Members can enter.We look forward to celebrating with you all!
